SCHOOLS

Education is highly prized in Uganda and hard to afford. Some of the churches that we work with establish schools linked to the churches, so that local children can receive not just an education, but also hear the good news from caring godly teachers, and be encouraged to attend the church. Even parents that are Muslim or animistic are keen for their children to attend, and they in turn can soften towards the gospel.
We help with the construction of brick classrooms to replace mud-and-stick or boarded ones. We are also preparing to support schools with top-up funding for teachers and equipment.

In this picture, the old mud classrooms have been attacked by termites and have become dangerous. Notice the central section that collapsed in a storm. We are funding the building of brick replacements, like the ones to the right.
